(Above: My wife made me dress up for this Christmas photo.)

I’ve always been an avid reader, but began writing in 2011 (and writing seriously in 2015). Personally, I enjoy reading the classics (Lovecraft, Washington Irving, F. Scott Fitzgerald) along with early 1900s pulp fiction (Edgar Rice Burroughs, Robert E. Howard). I rarely read anything that was written beyond the 1950s, and when I do it’s by Stephen King.

I’m a student of history. Other than that, I’m just a guy who’s following his dream. I bring it to the table (literally, as I enjoy writing at my kitchen table) each and every day. I pour my heart and soul into my craft. Writing is what I love to do and I refuse to stop chasing my passion.

When I’m not reading or writing, I enjoy hanging out with my wife and kids. Concerts, farmers markets…that sort of thing. Writing for a living hasn’t afforded me a lot of luxury over the past decade but it has given me the opportunity to watch my kids grow into fine human beings. As a daddy, that’s one awesome feeling!

  1. Chuck, good observation! The entire series was re-branded a while back, and several stories were actually renamed. So, technically both are correct, though most fans consider it to be Geartown.
